Amelie Tassin - Founder & Director
Amélie Tassin has over 20 years of experience in strategy, business management, marketing, brand development, and events. Fluent in English and French, she has worked across sectors including retail banking, property development, cosmetics, and food & drinks in both France and the UK. In 2017, she earned an MBA in Global Business Management.
A passionate advocate for craft beer, Amélie launched one of the first beer bottle shops in Paris before moving to the UK, where she has worked with a variety of breweries and food & drinks businesses.
Committed to promoting equality and inclusivity in the industry, she is the founder of Women in Beer, organising a mentorship programme, awards, and offering training to help businesses to enhance their DEI practices. Amélie is also a member of the British Guild of Beer Writers.
Daisy Turnell - Co-owner & Director
Daisy Turnell is a marketing professional with 24 years of experience in the craft beer and hospitality industries, including 15 years focused on marketing, communications, and events.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM), qualified Beer Sommelier, and member of the British Guild of Beer Writers, Daisy’s expertise is both extensive and widely recognised within the industry.
Her career is driven by a passion for craft beer. As the owner of Craft Beer Newcastle, she nurtures a vibrant community of beer enthusiasts and champions independent beer spaces across the North East of England.
An experienced beer judge, Daisy regularly participates in competitions and contributes as a guest columnist for Appetite Magazine.
Our Team
Manuela Campbell - Event Management
Manuela is our freelance event planning consultant. She joined the team in 2023 to coordinate logistics for the British Guild of Beer Writers’ annual awards dinner.
With nearly twenty years’ experience in the charitable sector, Manuela has a diverse skill set that includes a wide array of event coordination, stakeholder management, and representation of brands to diverse audiences across different sectors.
She is London-based and hosts brewery tours for Five Points Brewing, guiding guests through the history of beer, the brewing process and tastings.
In addition to being a Certified Cicerone, she is now pursuing a WSET Level 2 Award in Beer. She also grows hops in her back garden as part of the Walthamstow Beer Project.
Rob MacKay - Branding & Design
Rob is our freelance designer offering branding and design services on an ad-hoc basis. With a broad creative skillset covering graphic design, illustration, lettering, photography, and copywriting, he has also been known to dabble in 3D design, motion graphics and video editing.
Rob graduated as a Bachelor of Product Design Engineering in 2006, before spending seven years in the hospitality industry, while freelancing as a graphic designer. Following two years in a design studio with a hospitality-focused client base, he joined the beer industry in 2013, where he has been working ever since. In 2015 he passed the Master Cicerone® qualification, a testament to his in-depth knowledge of beer production, flavour profiling, service and food pairing.
In 2020, Rob co-founded Punks With Purpose, a positive action group focused on improving working conditions within the beer industry.
